Creating a spectacular regional showcase of high quality buildings, environments and products.

Design and quality of our environment and locally manufactured products is a topical issue and creates passionate comment and speculation among the general public, as well as within the wider design industry.

These unique awards for the region transform this passion into action. The selection process encourages both direct entries and nominations, with the nomination route enabling all those living and working in Birmingham and the West Midlands to voice their opinion and propose their choice of the best of the best, across a wide range of categories.

Since 1989, the Awards have been held every two years and aim to highlight projects that have made a quality contribution to the region. The panel of judges will comprise local and national professionals and design gurus who are experienced in recognising exemplary flair.

The BDI, Industry & Genius Awards 2007 will reward the ultimate in design and quality in Birmingham and the West Midlands.

This opportunity enables the region to celebrate its ongoing renaissance and reinforces its status as a vibrant centre brimming with a highly competitive, thriving mix of environmental design, imaginative products, collaborations with industry and a creative and successful production base.
