
Celebrity Compère: Tony Robinson
His first professional performance was at the age of 12 in the original production of the stage musical Oliver, and after leaving the Central School of Speech and Drama he spent several years in repertory and at the Chichester Festival Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company and at the National Theatre.
He has appeared in over 1000 television programmes and made numerous documentaries including three for Comic Relief in Africa.
Tony has written sixteen books for children, directed several stage plays and has won numerous awards for his television scripts including a BAFTA, RTS and International Prix Jeunnesse for Maid Marian.
